I'm sorry to say that Pearl and Smudge's foster baby was found in the floor of the cage yesterday. It was still barely alive, and I immediately warmed it up and tried to force-feed it, but was too far gone. :-( I'm not sure if they tossed it from the nest (not likely given its size), or if it fledged sooner than it was ready and injured itself. It was such a beautiful bird, too. :-(
Patches and Sugar's two hatchlings are doing wonderful. They're keeping them STUFFED full of food, almost to the point where it looks like they'll burst! :-)
